Today we visited our good friends Kim and Paul at Fair Oaks Hospital. Their son Harry was born earlier today at 8 lbs. 2 oz., and 21 inches tall, very similar to our own Anna. Incidentally, Kim was also put up in the same room Leigha was when Anna was born. Congratulations to Kim and Paul on the birth of their son. Seeing little Harry and being back at the hospital where we had so much excitement was nostalgic at least. I didn’t get a chance to hold Harry (it actually didn’t even occur to me), but Leigha said he felt so light compared to our chunker, whose weight I can only estimate at about 16 lbs. When we got home we took our traditional “monthiversary” picture. The munchkin was a perfect model during the solo shoot but became uncooperative when she had to share the spotlight with us. So the only family picture is of Anna being uncooperative (we’ll reattempt tomorrow). The pictures are at the gallery.
Also of note (or not), I’ve failed to finish the video that I was planning to release this month, so I apologize. We also haven’t had any Anna shows lately. Maybe the grandparents are losing interest? Surely someone wants to see her 720×480 smiling/crying face at a glorious 15 frames per second. Anybody?
I’d like to claim that I came up with an adorable personalized gift for Leigha on another first occasion, but that wouldn’t be entirely truthful. As I perused the selection at Target, I was torn between something cute/funny from Anna or something sentimental from me. How would Anna help me personalize it? I had a plan but technical difficulties prevented me from fully realizing it. I actually like the way it turned out, even if it wasn’t as intended.
Happy Mother’s Day, my love.

That’s not entirely true, since I can’t be President, but the good news is my daughter can. (Click for larger image). She got her social security card too. Only 7 weeks old and she’s already more legal than Vlad. Now let’s see how long it takes before she starts getting credit card offers…

I meant to post this yesterday in time for St. Patrick’s Day but I ran short on time.
She might squeak while sucking her binky
Or wrap her small hand on your pinky
But when you get your first whiff
Of a diaper load stiff
You shall see why her nickname is stinky
Her nickname really is “stinky”. I’m sure she’ll really appreciate this in about 14-18 years.
I’m sure Anna would prefer to introduce herself but she’s in the middle of a nap, so I’ll have to do it for her. If you’re here, you probably already know the following about Anna:
Parents: Pablo and Leigha
Born: March 1st, 2006 at 9:02pm
Weight: 8 lbs. 4.5 oz.
Height: 20.5 inches
Anna doesn’t yet have her own photo gallery, so Mom’s is the official place to get your fix.
Coming soon: videos of Anna
Posting frequency will probably be low since Leigha and I are slightly sleep deprived as is.
Stay tuned for more…
